Transfer to the
hotel and check-in
• Riga city tour: the
bus tour encompasses the most significant sights of Riga. View of
the City Canal parks, the Bastion Hill, the Powder Tower, the Art
Nouveau buildings of the beginning of the century, the Freedom
Monument etc.
The tour will also
include an Opera House backstage excursion.
• Old town walking
tour: this tour will give you chance to get acquainted with Old Riga
and it's most famous architectural monuments: 13th century St.
Peter's Church, St. George's Church, St. John's Church, a part of
restored city wall and the medieval John's yard. Then you will walk
to the heart of Old Riga - the Dome Square - Dome Cathedral and
learn about the famous 19th century Dome organ - one of the biggest
organs in Europe.

Finally you will
have an opportunity to see the famous Blackhead's house and enjoy a
traditional Latvian spirits degustation in a charming atmosphere of
this architectural chef d'oeuvre.
• Lunch in the
Reutern house, XVIIth century National Heritage, a family house of
the elder of the Grand Guild, Johann von Reutern, with fully
renovated unique ancient interiors. But before enjoying your meal
one of the descendants of Johann von Reutern will organize you a
brief tour around the house: Baroque hall, Rococo hall, the Lyre
hall, the Classicist room etc.
Lunch will be
accompanied by Latvian folk show: music, dances, participants
involved in the show.

Afternoon for your
own activities and shopping.
•
Transfer to the
romantic medieval castle Jaunpils situated in a small town Jaunpils
around 80 km from Riga.
Dramatized
excursion around the castle: romantic trip to the ancient times with
monk Teodor, servant Hilda and medieval musician. During the
excursion wine will be served to the participants, court yard of
the castle will be covered by candle light.
Medieval feast in
the castle's main hall: without tablewares, hands washed in the
lemon water with petals of roses. Dinner will be accompanied by a
great entertainment - man's ballet. In the conclusion of evening -
small salute “Fountain” in the castle's court yard.

DAY 2

Transfer
to Sigulda - one of the most picturesque towns in
Latvia in the Gauja River valley, situated in the Gauja National
Park and is known as the most popular tourist and leisure
destination as well as famous winter sports resort in Latvia because
of its bobsleigh track and the down-hill skiing routes, visit the
Turaida castle, explore ruins of Sigulda castle, Crusader Castle and
Gutmana Cave.
But
then adventures will just begin. You will have possibility to go
down the river Gauja by raft (3km)and have picnic-lunch on the open
air by the river.

After this exciting
day bus will take you to your next destination – Tallinn

DAY 3
•

Tallinn
city tour: view of the medieval city wall, front
of Toompea Palace and seat of the Estonian Parliament. The Russian
Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Dome Church (13th
– 18th century, entrances incl.). The Town Hall Square
and the outside of the Town Hall (14th century), the
Pharmacy, St. Nicholas Church, the Holy Ghost Church and some Guild
Houses from the Hanseatic period.
During the tour you
will have a unique possibility to enjoy a tour around the famous
Kadriorg Palace which was designed by Niccolo
Michetti, was built as a summer residence for the Czar's family.
Tour will end with a thrilling performance: tender
and solemn songs from the Middle Ages or vibrant and merry
Renaissance dances performed on old instruments and in historical
costumes.
The Kadriorg Palace with its magnificent halls is the
right place for experiencing high-level music. Champagne Louis
Perdrier Blanc de Brut; savouries with caviar and salmon; pork
fillet delicatessen with mushroom, baskets with blue cheese will be
served to the guests.

Lunch
with a lively interactive Estonian folk show in the “Tricky Ants
Farm (a reconstructed ensemble of 19th century horse
stable). The program contains of quality program of amusing folk
dancers, thrilling games and competitions, Estonian national festive
foods and drinks ( including a large beer or glass of wine, coffe,
tea, great estonian 3 course menu) - and dancing for everybody. Our
Estonian band plays spirited tunes all the time.

Afternoon
program in the medieval Dominician monastery. The
guests are welcomed and given the torches to follow the host through
the dark monastery rooms in the light of torches accompanied by
medieval music.
During the programme the host tells about the
monastery’s history and architecture, monastic life, lost fortunes
and legends related to Dominicans. At the same time the guests can
admire the work of local stone masons: carved stone lintels, area
stones, fragments of window pillars, etc., made of lime stone,
which has proven to be the most popular medium in the architecture
of Estonia from times immemorial. A stop is made at the medieval
“well of wishes” where monastery liqueur is served. The
programme is ended by Gregorian chant in the superb acoustics under
the vaults of the cloister.

DAY 4

Tour
to the Open Air Ethnographic museum: old Estonian vernacular
buildings together with exhibited commodities help to depict the
daily life of peasants in the 18-20th centuries. The territory of
the museum is divided into four parts of corresponding typical
village types: Western Estonia, Northern Estonia, Southern Estonia
and the islands. In each region farmyards of different wealth and
age stand in the central position.
